About Rebecca
Welcome to my personal S.F. of the Internet River.
A Visual Explanation……….
There are two things about me that remain constant.
I Fly Fish.
I write.
There is no hierarchy to the order. I do both as frequently as I can get away with and I started this website so that I could share my experiences and observations via the written word.
If you enjoy a new perspective to an old pastime, I welcome you to my site and hope you find hints about what (I believe) fly fishing should be about ~Outdoors ~ Fish ~ Fun ~ Observations ~ Humor ~ Experiences ~ Companions ~ Solitude ~ Enjoyment ~ Discoveries and so on…
Moment of truth– if you’re looking for examples of strict fly fishing doctrine, ‘how-to’ instructions, or tips on all the latest gear and big fish honey holes— I’m sorry. I’m just not that sort of Fly Fishing Lady. However, I have no doubt that a quick paddle down the Internet River will lead you to many honorable and respectable sites. No worries, I paddle over to those websites as well.
I grew up camping, hunting and fishing as a way of life. I’m not a ‘conversion’ or someone who married into the outdoor ways. According to my parents, I had my first treble hook embedded in my forehead when I was 6 weeks old (thank you Dad) and the way I see it, that was simply a christening, a ‘welcome to the fishing club’ moment.
Now, pull up a camp chair and join me around the fire~

I never tried fly fishing but I always enjoy fishing on the river when I’m in the country at may grandparents.
It’s such a cool way to relax and enjoy the fresh air. My friends never understood why I preferred spending the evening on the river instead of going to the bar…
Some nice trouts you’ve got there!

Rebecca, I am a sculptor and am writing from Breckenridge Colorado (i reside in Lander Wyoming). I am here for the weekend working as an “Artist in Residence” for a few days. Yesterday I visited Breckenridge Outfitters, a local shop that specializes in fly fishing gear and guided trips. I spoke with a few of the people there about guided fly fishing trips. It is something I have always wanted to do but regretfully I have yet to experience. A friend of mine gave me a few reels and a nice rod but I am clueless as where to start. I saw your profile on Facebook. We share several mutual friends. I decided to visit your website and have been checking out your blogs and your Animoto video (very nice). Soooooo, I am simply visiting, checking out your info and saying “Howdy!”
I signed up for your news letter and would like to learn more about fly fishing.
You have a great site!
Mark
Nice site, Rebecca. Good to see someone having so much fun at it.
