About Rebecca

There are two things about me that are a constant. First, I’m addicted to fly-fishing… irrefutably, undeniably, should probably find a 12 step program, addicted. A confession I’m willing to publicly admit any day. Second, I am never without pen and paper taking notes, jotting down thoughts and capturing my experiences.

When I’m not fly fishing, I can be found hunting, hiking and camping throughout Idaho’s beautiful landscapes or traveling beyond the borders to explore new opportunities.  Montana holds a special place in my heart as the most meaningful and wonderful fly fishing that can be found, but I’m open to the pursuit of fish and game in any state. (Is it just me or did that whole paragraph read like an E-harmony profile–yikes)

I grew up camping, fishing, hunting as a way of life. I’m not a ‘conversion’ or someone who married into the outdoor ways. According to my parents, I had my first treble hook embedded in my forehead when I was 6 weeks old (thank you Dad) and the way I see it, that was simply a christening, a welcome to the club moment.

The Outdooress is another means for me to capture my experiences via the written word with a side of sharing, campfire style.
